Huntington Beach! Check Out Our 5-Minute Desk Stretches for Better Posture

At SoFit, we understand that many of our clients spend long hours at their desks. As Coach Deidre often reminds us, "Small consistent actions lead to significant changes." Here are quick 5-minute desk stretch routines our Huntington Beach clients can do to maintain better posture.


  1. Seated Neck Release (1 minute)

    Gently tilt your head toward your right shoulder

    Hold for 30 seconds

    Switch sides [Expert tip from Coach Kerri: "Remember to breathe deeply during each stretch."]


  2. Shoulder Blade Squeezes (1 minute)

    Sit tall in your chair

    Pull your shoulders back and down

    Hold for 5 seconds, release

    Repeat 10 times


  3. Thoracic Extension (1 minute)

    Place hands behind your head

    Gently arch back over your chair

    Hold for 15 seconds

    Repeat 3 times


  4. Seated Spinal Twist (1 minute)

    Sit sideways in your chair

    Rotate toward the back of the chair

    Hold for 30 seconds each side


  5. Wrist and Finger Stretches (1 minute)

    Extend arms forward

    Flex and extend wrists

    Spread fingers wide, then make fists

    Repeat 10 times
